Rakesh Vyas

Mr. Rakesh Vyas is a seasoned geologist with more than 24 years of global experience in exploration and mining, spanning the entire project cycle—from target identification and resource delineation to reserve estimation and feasibility reporting. He brings a rare blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and hands-on field experience, making him a trusted leader in the geosciences domain.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Vyas has successfully led national and international projects in mineral exploration, satellite remote sensing & GIS, geological studies, and specialized surveys. His work extends across India, East Africa, and parts of Asia, with assignments in Sudan, Uganda, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Tanzania, Liberia, Rwanda, Nepal, Myanmar, and Zambia. These projects have ranged from gold, copper, tin and iron ore to industrial minerals such as phosphates, limestone, and decorative stones. His core strengths include:

Economic Mineral Exploration across diverse geological terrains including Mobile Belts, Cratons, Massifs, Proterozoic and Phanerozoic Basins.
Resource Modeling & Estimation using advanced geostatistical and 3D modeling techniques aligned with JORC and NI 43-101 standards.

Mr. Vyas has also served as Operations-in-Charge (Exploration & Mining) for Orbit Mining Co. Ltd., Sudan, and as a Scientist at Birla Institute of Technology, where he handled numerous remote sensing and GIS projects of national and international importance.

An effective communicator and leader, he has managed multi-cultural and cross-disciplinary teams, ensuring successful project execution in challenging terrains. He is also a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and has contributed to environmental governance as part of the District Environmental Impact Appraisal Authority (DEIAA) for mining projects in Rajasthan.

Prof Harsh Bhu (Retd.)

Consultant Geologist | Former Head, Dept. of Geology, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University

Prof. Harsh Bhu is an achievement-oriented and multi-skilled geoscientist with over 40 years of experience in structural geology, tectonics, mineral exploration, and applied research. He retired as Professor & Head of Geology at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, where he led academic, research, and consultancy initiatives while mentoring the next generation of geoscientists.

His career reflects a unique blend of research excellence, exploration expertise, and technological innovation. He has successfully managed geological surveys, mineral investigations, R&D projects, and the transfer of cost-effective technologies from research to production. Prof. Bhu is widely respected for his analytical depth, geological problem-solving ability, and collaborative leadership style, having led cross-functional research and exploration teams under challenging deadlines and complex environments. His work has advanced the understanding of Proterozoic basins, structural evolution, tectonics, and the integration of remote sensing in mineral exploration.

Dr. Jayant Sharma

Principal Geologist | National Mineral Awardee.

Dr. Jayant Sharma is a distinguished geologist with over 35 years of experience in mineral exploration and mining, recognized nationally and internationally for his pioneering contributions. He is the recipient of the National Mineral Award (2004) from the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, for discovering a major lignite deposit in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. He has also played a pivotal role in copper exploration, contributing significantly to the development of the Singhbhum and Khetri copper belts.

With a career spanning India, East Africa, Latin America and beyond, Dr. Sharma has successfully executed turnkey projects for gold, copper, base metals, diamonds, lignite, chromite, and industrial minerals. He has served in leadership roles such as Operations In-Charge (Exploration & Mining) for Dodsal Resources in Tanzania and as a senior geologist with the Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL), where he managed more than 25 large-scale exploration projects across diverse geological terrains.

Hemant Azad

Mr. Hemant Azad is a seasoned geologist with over 26 years of extensive experience in mineral exploration and mining, specializing in base and precious metals. He has been serving as General Manager of a Gemfields Group company in Zambia, he has built a strong track record of leading exploration programs, managing complex mining operations, and delivering resource discoveries in challenging terrains.

His professional journey includes senior positions in Africa, India, and Turkey, where he has directed exploration for copper, cobalt, tin, gold, and lead-zinc deposits. At Somika-MMR (Societe Miniere Du Katanga, DRC), he spearheaded grassroots exploration, advanced drilling programs, and geological interpretations, significantly contributing to the company’s copper–cobalt portfolio. Earlier, with Indo Gold Mines Pvt. Ltd. (India & Turkey), he managed gold and lead-zinc exploration projects, gaining expertise in both greenfield and brownfield environments.

Dr. Manoj Kumar Gaur is a highly accomplished geologist with more than 26 years of international experience in mineral exploration, mining, and project management. His career reflects a rare combination of technical depth and leadership acumen, having served as Vice President with Gemfields Group in Ethiopia, where he spearheaded large-scale gemstone exploration and mining initiatives.

He has held senior leadership positions in renowned mining companies across Africa, the Middle East, the UK, China, and India, including serving as Executive Director with Gemfields Group in Ethiopia and General Manager at Nairoto Resources Lda, Mozambique. In these roles, he successfully established large-scale gemstone and gold exploration projects, built operational camps in remote regions, recruited and led multicultural teams, and advanced projects from reconnaissance to bulk sampling and production stages.
Dr. Gaur continues to provide strategic guidance on project generation, technical due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, resource evaluation, and compliance with international reporting codes including JORC, NI 43-101, SAMREC, and UNFC. His work combines strong technical expertise with executive-level management and stakeholder engagement.

Sri Prakash Sharma, a seasoned professional with over 16 years of experience in Photogrammetry, excels in Orthophoto rectification, route and network analysis, digital terrain and surface modeling, stereo plotting, and team management. With a strong command of software tools like AutoCAD Map, ArcGIS, and Terra Model, Sri Prakash has contributed to a wide array of projects, showcasing adaptability, versatility, and strong team-building skills in high-pressure situations. His technical expertise spans stereo data compilation, DEM/DTM generation, vector mapping, Lidar classification, ortho rectification, and 3D city modeling.
